EVB Engineering was retained as part of a team, led by N45 Architecture, to provide structural and civil engineering detailed design and contract administration services. More specifically, the structural scope of work included the design of a new slab-on-grade to accommodate a relocated shed, a new foundation & steel framing for a freestanding sign, and a new foundation to accommodate a relocated portable.

The civil scope of work included the expansion and reconstruction of the parking lot, reconstruction of the asphalt playground & cedar weave playground surfaces, sidewalk modifications, fencing modifications, drainage upgrades and stormwater management. Due to the constrained site and need to maximize parking areas, stormwater management was provided using underground high-density polyethylene (HDPE) storage chambers and an oil & grit interceptor.
The project team assisted with obtaining all necessary approvals from the City of Cornwall, including the building permit and Site Plan Control agreement, which required the preparation of a detailed Stormwater Management Report to support the design.
The project was tendered with the assistance of this project team. EVB Engineering provided contract administration assistance and inspection during the construction phase of the project.
